Welcome To Race 4 Justice

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. The true neighbour will risk his position, his prestige, and even his life for the welfare of others. In dangerous valleys and hazardous pathways, he will lift some bruised and beaten brother to a higher and more noble life"
Martin Luther King, JR

We are an organisation committed to finding solutions to legal, political and educational challenges faced by our communities through Leadership, Innovation and Sustainability (LIS).

Race 4 Justice will recognise the commitment and contribution to our agenda of LIS, equality and social inclusion, by individuals and organisations, through its award of the Justice Link.

Justice Link
The Justice Link has been designed as a tangible and visible representation of a commitment to working together for justice and equality. The Justice Link is made of solid stainless steel and represents the strong link between organisations committed to leading work across agencies, social and political demographics, age and ethnic groups.

Launch
Race 4 Justice
has been operating as a network for over 4 years and was officially launched as an organisation at our first international conference, "Race for Justice: Alienation or Social Inclusion?" , which took place in December 2009, at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London.  The conference was organised in partnership with Napo, Society of Black lawyers (SBL) and Association of Black Probation Officers (ABPO) and supported by the Attorney General, Baroness Patricia Scotland.

The aim of the conference was to undertake an international analysis of criminal justice issues that affect diverse communities, particularly young people, in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Through the direct input of the Attorney General, ministers and professionals from various fields within the community and criminal justice system, the conference examined the impact of policy and practice at international, national, regional and local levels.

The conference report will be available to download shortly. The full conference report can be purchased from this website at a cost of £9.00.
